Background

ZenaTech, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZENA) said on Tuesday that it expanded its drone factory in Sharjah, UAE. The company added 15,000 square feet to increase production and research. This expansion lets ZenaTech keep up with the growing global demand for its AI-powered drones.

ZenaTech, with a $152.55 million market value, grew its revenue by 126.52% last year. Analysts expect the company to keep growing, according to InvestingPro. The new facility will include 12,000 square feet for manufacturing and R&D and 3,000 square feet for Drone as a Service (DaaS) operations, supplementing its existing 10,000 square-foot plant in Sharjah.

“Growing our manufacturing and R&D presence in Sharjah marks a key strategic step, strengthening our capacity to develop and deliver cutting-edge drone solutions on a larger scale,” said Dr. Shaun Passley, CEO of ZenaTech.

The company will build modular assembly lines to make, test, and calibrate its ZenaDrone 1000 and IQ series drones. ZenaTech also plans to hire 15–20 more staff in manufacturing, engineering, and operations to support the expansion.

Outside the UAE, ZenaTech recently signed deals to acquire land survey and inspection companies in Southern California and Jacksonville, Florida, to grow its drone-as-a-service (DaaS) business in the U.S. It has also chosen Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as the base for its AI drone defense division, which will develop autonomous and real-time decision systems for defense and homeland security.

ZenaTech’s leadership will also meet U.S. lawmakers to discuss drone innovation and defense collaboration, reinforcing its position as a key technology supplier for U.S. and NATO agencies.
