GLO Marine is targeting revenues of more than €50 million by 2030 as it prepares to establish a permanent Middle East operation and bring its new €6 million Technology Centre in Romania into commercial operation.
The two investments anchor a wider growth plan that will see the engineering and project delivery company expand from its marine and offshore base into larger integrated project scopes, technology integration and a broader international delivery network.
One of GLO Marine’s founders will relocate to lead the Middle East business, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi as the initial focus. Romania remains the company’s engineering and project delivery base, while the Middle East, West Africa and the North Sea are the principal markets for expansion.
George Gourlay, interim CEO of GLO Marine, said the company is making a deliberate move to its next scale, with the €50 million target ambitious but achievable through stronger Romania-based capability, a permanent Middle East operation and the ability to take on larger, integrated projects.
The Middle East business will focus on drydock works, vessel modifications, engineering and systems integration, alongside installation and commissioning support for equipment manufacturers, developed with selected partner companies holding an established regional track record.
Liviu Moise, co-founder of GLO Marine, said the company already holds strong relationships with partners and vessel owners in the Middle East and sees real potential to grow further there.
The €6 million Technology Centre in Galati will add manufacturing, electrical assembly, systems integration and testing capability, supporting process skids, modular packages and technical systems for marine, offshore and energy projects, including battery storage system integration for Romania’s energy infrastructure.
