Meysan Lawyer & Legal Consultants have been working as the legal advisor for the merger of Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), being involved in one of the biggest mergers-by-absorption cases in the oil industry of Kuwait.
The merger takes place between two subsidiaries of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). Following the transaction, KNPC’s share capital increased by the book value of KIPIC’s assets, taking its total capital to about KWD2.632 billion.
Meysan Chairman Waleed Al-Tattan and Partner Abdulaziz Al-Bisher represented the firm at a ceremony held by KNPC to mark the completion of the merger. Senior officials and executives from Kuwait’s oil industry attended the event.
The legal team from the firm consisted of Partner Abdulaziz Al-Bisher, with the help of Partner Mohammed Abdulwahid. Legal advice on the deal was provided by Meysan to the benefit of both companies during the merger process.
