Background-

ACWA reported higher profits in 2025, supported by increased project activity and smooth operations. The company made a gross profit of SR3.76 billion ($1 billion), up 13% from last year, while net profit grew 5.4% to SR1.85 billion.

Revenue increased to 7.41 billion riyals, up from 6.30 billion in 2024. The reason for this rise was more projects, maintenance, operation work, and higher electricity production. The water output dropped slightly, but the company’s overall performance remained strong.

During the year, ACWA finished 15 major projects worth 70 billion riyals, the most it has ever completed in a single year. These projects included several power and water agreements and important acquisitions in Bahrain, Kuwait, and China.

The company also expanded its capacity by 25 gigawatts of power and 2.1 million cubic meters of water per day.

ACWA Power managed 108 projects in 15 countries. The company produced 93 gigawatts of electricity and 9.2 million cubic meters of water daily by the end of 2025. Total assets reached 437 billion riyals, and shareholders’ equity grew by 32.8 percent to 29.02 billion riyals. Earnings per share improved from SR2.38 to SR2.47.

ACWA’s CEO, Samir Serhan, said the results reflect the company’s ability to handle large-scale projects and expand operations steadily.

Analysts note that ACWA is well-positioned for continued growth in the energy and utilities sector in the Middle East and globally.
