Background-

Ibrahim Abdullah Al Hosni walked away from the Business Fair Middle East Leadership Summit and Awards 2026 in Dubai on Saturday with the title of Best Leader in the Middle East in Business and Artificial Intelligence.

The award recognises Al Hosni’s work as Chairman of the Digital Economy and AI Committee at OCCI and head of the Oman Food Bank, while also highlighting Oman’s growing presence in technology and innovation.

The summit drew entrepreneurs, government officials, and industry leaders from across the Middle East and beyond, gathering to recognise excellence and impact in business and innovation.

Accepting the award in front of a room full of regional business figures, Al Hosni described it as the outcome of years of learning, persistence, and working alongside strong teams. He told reporters the recognition carried both personal meaning and professional responsibility.

He said the award was not just about individual achievement but proof that Omani professionals can hold their own and lead on regional and international stages. He credited much of what he has built to collaboration and strategic partnerships rather than solo effort.

Throughout his career, Al Hosni has pushed digital transformation, AI adoption, and youth empowerment across both public and private institutions. His community work spans the Oman Food Bank, the Ayadi Volunteer Platform, and several youth entrepreneurship programmes.

Looking ahead, he said he plans to launch new initiatives around the digital economy, sustainability, and investment attraction, all aligned with Oman’s Vision 2040 goals.
