Background-
KPMG has appointed Islam Al-Bayaa as CEO of KPMG Middle East and Khalil Al-Sedais as its country leader for Saudi Arabia, as business transformation gathers pace across the region.
Al-Bayaa now leads the firm’s operations in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. He will oversee more than 5,000 employees across 10 offices. Al-Sedais will run the firm’s business in the Kingdom, with a focus on clients, people, growth and stronger local capabilities.
Demand for advisory services is rising as Middle East businesses pursue diversification, technology change and cross-border investment. New industries and investment under Saudi Arabia’s transformation agenda add to that demand.
Al-Bayaa said the Middle East is entering a new phase of growth with more connected markets. He plans to unite KPMG’s regional capabilities, invest in people and build strength in technology, artificial intelligence, governance and cross-border growth, while supporting clients across multiple markets.
Al-Bayaa brings more than 30 years of experience in professional services, transactions and investment banking, and has held senior KPMG leadership roles in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Sedais brings more than 22 years of audit and advisory experience and has served as Riyadh regional managing partner for over a decade. He is a certified public accountant and a KPMG Middle East board member. He also sits on the board of the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers. Al-Sedais said he will deepen client relationships and keep investing in Saudi talent.
