Background :

Fikra Ventures has joined in a strategic collaboration with Glimmer Technologies to help create enterprise-level artificial intelligence AI solutions across the Gulf region. It is set to start with banks, financial institutions, fintechs, and telecommunications providers, along with large corporations.

As part of the agreement, Abu Dhabi-based Fikra Ventures will become Glimmer Technologies’ exclusive partner for commercialisation, marketing, and distribution in the Gulf. The company will also establish a new venture to deploy Glimmer’s FinomeAI platform, which is already being used by financial institutions.

The new business will develop Arabic-language AI solutions designed to meet regional regulations and business requirements. The companies said the approach will help organisations reduce deployment time while improving compliance. Fikra Ventures will provide funding, business development, and commercial support, while Glimmer Technologies will supply the AI platform.

The partnership will initially focus on financial services, where organisations are looking to improve loan processing, customer onboarding, collections, servicing, and regulatory operations through AI.

According to Glimmer Technologies, its platform currently processes more than one million loan applications every month in live deployments. The company said its AI has reduced fraud investigation times from up to two days to about 20 to 30 minutes, increased customer onboarding conversion by 8%, and improved loan collection rates by around 6%.

These companies have started forming pilot programs and Arabic-speaking presentations about topics such as collecting, customer interactions, voice automation, document processing, and onboarding. Moreover, they are looking at expanding their AI products from the Gulf to the broader Middle East and North African regions.
