Background-
Emirates won the Best Overall Airline in the Middle East award at the 2026 APEX Best in Airline Awards in Dublin, Ireland.
The award came from passenger feedback collected across more than 600 airlines worldwide through TripIt by Concur. Travelers rated their flights on a five-star scale, with over one million flights reviewed for this year’s awards.
Emirates scored strongly across all five assessment pillars: seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment and connectivity. The system delivers high-speed, low-latency internet similar to ground-level browsing.
Thirty-three Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and the first three Airbus A380s are already equipped, with full fleet completion expected by mid-2027.
The airline’s ice entertainment system offers more than 6,500 channels of content, including nearly 3,000 movies, 3,000 music albums, over 600 television channels, and content from platforms including HBO Max, Disney+ and Spotify.
Food remains a signature element of the Emirates experience, with menus designed around global cuisines and destination-inspired flavors across all cabin classes.
Emirates is also the only airline in the world to serve Dom Pérignon in First Class across its global network. Economy Class passengers will see further improvements from October onwards, with new lightweight Safran Z400 seats featuring an adjustable eight-way headrest introduced across the fleet.
